Cindy is a popular name at Designory these days. The agency just brought home six CINDY (Cinema in Industry) awards for its film work on behalf of Infiniti.
The Infiniti Q60 Overview video scored the highest and largest number of CINDY awards for Designory – two Golds in the Consumer and Sales & Marketing categories and two Special Achievement Awards in writing and editing. The Infiniti Q60 Overview video — featured on YouTube and on Infiniti websites worldwide — gives shoppers a one-stop highlight reel of the high-performance coupe. Using an artfully crafted fusion of live-action footage and CGI enhancement, the video highlights the most distinctive, compelling key features and showcases the vehicle performing on the open road and urban settings.
The Infiniti Variable Compression Turbo video took home two silvers in the Consumer and Sales Marketing categories. The VC-Turbo video announces a breakthrough in engine technology. And the film’s concept based on a human analogy formed the creative platform for the engine’s global reveal — permeating the press releases, press conference and interactive displays at the 2016 Paris International Motor Show. Since the Paris show, this video has continued to feature in public relations and even 3rd-party websites to help capture consumer imagination and enthusiasm for an engine — unique to Infiniti — that will provide seamless shifts between power and efficiency. The engine will be available in select vehicles by 2018.
The CINDY Awards, created by the Los Angeles-based Industry Film Producers Association (IFPA), began in 1959 as an industrial film competition A few name changes later, the International Association of Audio Visual Communicators (IAAVC) now presents 14 different CINDY Award events annually to honor the theatrical, web-cast, broadcast, non-broadcast and interactive media professionals around the globe.
For last year's regional and international events, more than 8,700 entries from around the world were judged covering 172+ subject-matter categories of media. Programs included websites, videos, mobile apps, podcasts, webinars, films, commercials, documentaries and music videos.
